    The purpose of this study is to see how promotions are carried out on social media as a marketing agent at this time. This research used a descriptive method by observing internet user behavior and analyzing the marketing strategy of Instagram as one of the platform social media that effectively as a promotion agent. The results of this paper show that many business people use various social media platforms as a medium to promote the products they offer. It is because, in the current era, social media is a medium that is widely used by large communities in various parts of the world. With various facilities and also minimal costs, making social media widely used by business people with attractive offers and affordable prices

    Modeling of a New Structure of Precision Air Conditioning System Using Secondary Condenser for Rh Regulation

    A dynamic mathematical model for a new structure of precision air conditioning (PAC) has been developed. The proposed PAC uses an additional secondary condenser for relative humidity regulation compared to a basic refrigeration system. The work mechanism for this system and a vapour-compression cycle process of the system are illustrated using psychrometric chart and pressure-enthalpy diagram. A non-linear system model is derived based on the conservation of mass and energy balance principles and then linearized at steady state operating point for developing a 8th-order state space model suited for multivariable controller design. The quality of linearized model is analyzed in terms of transient response, controllability, observability, and interaction between input-output variables. The developed model is verified through simulation showing its ability for imitating the nonlinear behavior and the interaction of input-output variables

    Onion production must always be increased. Liquid organic fertilizers affect the growth and development of soil microbes and the nutrients contained in POC will be absorbed more quickly by plants. Guano or swallow droppings originating from the swallow cultivator building are currently not widely used and further processed, even though the waste can be used as fertilizer that can fertilize plants. This study aims to obtain the POC dose of swallow droppings that provide the highest growth effectiveness and yield in shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) plants.The research method used was a single factor Randomized Block Design (RBD), namely the dose of POC with 7 treatments that were repeated 4 times, namely treatment A (Without NPK and POC (control (-)), B (NPK 600 kg / ha (control (+)), C (POC 3 l / ha + NPK 300 kg / ha), D (POC 6 l / ha + NPK 300 kg / ha), E (POC 9 l / ha + NPK 300 kg / ha), F (POC 12 lt / ha + NPK 300 kg / ha), G (POC 15 l / ha + NPK 300 kg / ha). Data were analyzed using variance (ANOVA) and DMRT at the 5% level. Based on the results of the study, the dosage of swallow droppings POC did not have a significant effect on all components of growth and yield. This shows that POC made from swallow droppings has not been able to increase the growth and production of shallot plants

    Pembuatan Media Belajar Sains Sederhana Bagi Guru Sekolah Dasar di Kota Tarakan

    Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dirancang melalui kegiatan pendampingan pembuatan media belajar sains sederhana. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membantu guru-guru di Sekolah Dasar khususnya guru-guru di SDN 037 Tarakan yang meliputi a) menambah pengetahuan guru SD/MI dalam merancang pembelajaran IPA, dan b) melatih keterampilan guru dalam membuat dan menggunakan media belajar sains sederhana. Ketercapaian target yang dicapai memberikan pengetahuan kepada guru-guru tentang cara mendesain media dan membuat media belajar sains sederhana sangat terampil. Kegiatan pendampingan ini berhasil membuat media belajar sains sederhana bersama guru-guru di SDN 037 Tarakan yang terdiri dari 3 media, diantaranya 1) media belajar sains sederhana berupa media big book, 2) media belajar sains sederhana berupa media kartu truth and dare, dan 3) media belajar sains sederhana berupa media permainan ular tangga.Guru-guru sangat mengharapkan kegiatan ini berlangsung lebih lama, sehingga dapat lebih banyak lagi media yang dibuat untuk membantu proses pembelajaran. Pendampingan diharapkan dapat dilakukan secara rutin ke sekolah sebagai bahan untuk bertukar pengetahuan bersama mahasiswa dan dosen yang ada di Universitas Borneo Tarakan. Selain itu, guru-guru di SDN 037 Tarakan sangat antusias dan merespon baik kegiatan ini yangmana memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tambahan untuk dimanfaatkan disaat proses pembelajaran berlangsung

    Performance of electrostatic field in continuous demulsification of simulated crude oil emulsion

    Water-in-oil (W/O) emulsion is always formed in crude oil production. In most cases, the presence of water droplets in crude oil is undesirable because they can cause several problems such as corrosion of process equipment and a decrease in crude oil quality, as well as its market price. In this research, a simulated W/O emulsion that consists of kerosene as a continuous oil phase, water as a dispersed phase and SPAN 80 as an emulsifier has been formulated. The feasibility of using Span 80 for W/O emulsion formation and emulsion stability has been investigated. Stability test proved that the emulsions with 2 w/v % of Span 80 were stable and no separation was observed for the first 48 hours of gravitational settling. Besides, this research also aimed to study the effects of several parameters such as frequency, emulsion flow rate, voltage, water content in emulsion, and emulsifier concentration on the demulsification performance under high voltage electric field. The results showed that the best demulsification performance was 90% using electrical method at 1000 Hz of frequency, 10kV of voltage, 0.4 mL/s of emulsion flow rate, 2 w/v % of emulsifier, and 30 % of water portion of simulated crude oil
